Statement:

I paint portraits, whether of trees, shoes,
condiment bottles or people. Whatever.
I also don’t frame my oil paintings. It
disturbs me to see, in musuems, paintings
overwhelmed by elaborately ornate filigreed
frames, some of which should be displayed
by themselves. Prints and watercolors are
a different matter.
